Anara
Anara lets researchers search 300M+ papers, build a library of PDFs, notes and recordings, ask questions with answers linked to exact passages, extract findings into tables and write with formatted citations.

What is Anara?
Anara is an AI workspace built specifically for research. Instead of an open-ended chatbot, it combines a searchable library of your own documents with search across scientific literature, and it ties each claim in its answers to the passage it came from. Researchers, PhD students, clinicians, consultants and regulatory teams use it to find papers, synthesize large bodies of literature and write with reliable citations.
Key Features of Anara
Literature search
Anara searches more than 300 million papers, including PubMed and trial registries, with filters for journal, year and citation count. It shows PDF availability and can screen results against criteria you define.
Research library
Upload papers, notes, slides and recordings, or import by DOI, PMID or URL. Metadata is filled in automatically, scanned PDFs are made searchable with OCR on higher plans, and Zotero and Mendeley libraries can be synced.
Cited answers
You can ask a question of one paper, a folder or the whole library. Each answer links to the exact passage, so you can verify it rather than trusting the model blindly. You can also limit answers to your own files.
Extraction tables
Turn a folder into a table with one row per paper and one column per question. Every cell is cited, the table stays in sync with the folder, and it exports to CSV or Excel, with support for frameworks like PICO and GRADE.
Writing with citations
Drafts can pull citations from your library in any style, generate reference lists and export to Word, LaTeX or BibTeX. A Microsoft Word add-in brings this into your usual editor.
Collaboration and API
Folders can be shared with collaborators, with limits that grow by plan, and developers can use the Anara API to run its paper search inside their own applications.
Anara Pricing
Anara offers a free plan and three paid tiers per seat. Yearly billing saves 20%, and the prices below are the yearly rates shown on the pricing page. The Max plan can be scaled to a larger usage multiple.

Who Should Use Anara?
- Academic researchers and PhD students working through large reading lists.
- Life sciences and medtech teams preparing protocols and regulatory submissions.
- Consultants running fast systematic reviews.
- Anyone who needs AI help but must be able to verify every claim.
Is Anara Worth It?
Anara stands out because it is designed around verification: answers point to exact passages, and extraction tables keep a citation behind every value. That makes it more suitable for serious research than general chat assistants. The free plan is enough to evaluate the workflow, while Plus and Pro are reasonably priced for individuals. Heavy users will need Pro or Max for larger uploads, OCR and the strongest models. Treat the vendor's accuracy benchmarks as indicative and test it on your own papers before committing.
