Apollo.io
Apollo.io combines a B2B contact and company database with AI research, AI writing and sales agents that build lead lists, run email sequences and book meetings. It suits sales teams, founders and agencies doing outbound.

What is Apollo.io?
Apollo.io is a sales platform that started as a B2B contact database and now describes itself as a connected AI go-to-market system. It brings three layers together: data on people and companies, an intelligence layer where AI agents research and prioritise leads, and an execution layer for email sequences, calls and meetings. The aim is to let a sales team find prospects, reach out and track deals without stitching together several separate tools.
It is aimed at sales reps, SDR teams, founders who sell themselves, recruiters and agencies running outbound campaigns. You can work in Apollo's own workspace or connect it to the CRM, inbox and AI assistants you already use. Details are on the official Apollo website.
Key Features of Apollo.io
B2B Contact and Company Data
Apollo lists more than 240 million contacts and 30 million accounts. Search filters, buying-intent signals, job changes and lookalike searches help narrow a list to the accounts that match your ideal customer.
AI Agents for Prospecting
Agents can research accounts, assemble lead lists, write first drafts of outreach, follow up and propose meetings, asking you to approve key steps. An AI Context Center stores your product and ICP details so the agents work from the same brief.
Sequences and Deliverability
Paid plans include unlimited multi-step sequences, with A/Z testing on higher tiers. A deliverability suite, mailbox warmup and the option to buy domains and mailboxes help keep outreach out of spam folders.
Enrichment and Data Hygiene
Waterfall enrichment pulls from Apollo's data plus partner sources to fill gaps in CSV files, CRM records or API requests, and automated CRM enrichment keeps fields current.
Apollo Anywhere and Integrations
Apollo can be used from Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, the browser and AI chat tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, with more than 200 integrations and MCP support for LLM connections.
Calls and Meetings
A built-in dialer, meeting scheduler, call recording and AI meeting insights cover the later stages of a deal, with recording minutes that grow with the plan.
Apollo.io Pricing
Apollo has a free plan and three paid tiers billed per seat. Annual billing saves about 24% compared with monthly billing. Each plan comes with a yearly credit allowance used for revealing emails (1 credit), phone numbers (8 credits), enrichment and AI research.
Two add-ons are sold per team: Inbound (Essentials at $119 or Max at $639 per month, billed annually) and an Advanced Dialer at $119 per month, billed annually. Basic and Professional offer a 14-day trial. Prices exclude taxes.
Prices checked on October 27, 2026; check the official pricing page for current plans.
Who Should Use Apollo.io?
- SDRs and account executives who need a steady flow of qualified leads
- Founders and small teams running outbound without a dedicated sales-ops person
- Marketing and RevOps teams that want enriched, up-to-date CRM records
- Agencies running prospecting campaigns for several clients
- Teams that want to start AI-assisted prospecting from ChatGPT, Claude or their CRM
Is Apollo.io Worth It?
Apollo's main strength is breadth. Data, enrichment, sequencing, dialing and AI agents sit in one product, and the free plan is generous enough to judge data quality in your own market before paying. For many small teams this replaces two or three separate subscriptions.
The trade-offs are mostly about limits. Credits run out faster than expected once you reveal phone numbers, the free tier caps exports and AI chats, and the more useful AI scoring, call minutes and workflows sit on Professional or higher. Contact data from any provider also needs verification before large campaigns. If outbound sales is a core channel for you, Apollo is a strong option to test; if you only need occasional contact lookups, the free plan may be all you need.
