ChatBot
ChatBot.com, from the makers of LiveChat (Text), builds an AI agent from your website and documents to answer customers, recommend products and hand chats to your team.

What is ChatBot?
ChatBot (ChatBot.com) is an AI customer service and sales chatbot for websites and messaging channels. It is part of the product family from Text, the company behind LiveChat, and the pricing page now describes the plans as "Text's AI Agent". You give it a website URL or upload help articles and documents, and it builds a knowledge base that the AI agent uses to answer visitors, recommend products and guide shoppers toward checkout.
The tool is aimed at e-commerce stores and service businesses that want to cover chat around the clock and pass the important conversations to their human team. More information is on the official ChatBot website.
Key Features of ChatBot
AI Agent Trained on Your Knowledge
The AI agent learns from help articles, internal documents, URLs and PDFs (up to 50 MB per file). You can set its tone of voice, and it replies in the customer's language, with 48 languages supported.
Custom Skills
Skills are rules that tell the agent what to do in a specific situation, such as offering a discount, suggesting a product or escalating to a person. Each agent can have up to 10 skills.
Human Takeover and Shared Inbox
Your team can step into any AI conversation. Plans include an inbox and ticketing system, so chats that need follow-up do not get lost.
AI Copilot for Human Agents
Beyond the customer-facing bot, an AI copilot drafts reply suggestions from your knowledge sources, polishes text and summarises chats for staff. Usage of these tools is capped per user each month.
Selling and Campaigns
ChatBot works with Shopify for product recommendations and checkout help, and offers proactive campaigns that open a conversation with visitors based on rules you set.
Channels
Besides the website widget, conversations can run through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and SMS via Twilio.
ChatBot Pricing
ChatBot charges per user per month and meters AI usage in "resolutions": one resolution is counted when the AI solves a customer's question, even if the chat contains several questions. Both paid plans come with a free 14-day trial that does not ask for a card, and yearly billing saves up to 24%.
Extra AI resolutions are sold in packs of 50 for $49.50.
Prices checked on 2026-10-27; check the official pricing page for current plans.
Who Should Use ChatBot?
- Shopify and other online stores that want an AI assistant to answer product questions and help close sales.
- Teams already using LiveChat or other Text products who want AI on top of their chat workflow.
- Small support teams that need after-hours coverage with a clean handover to staff.
- Larger companies that need SSO, audit logs and a white-label widget through an enterprise contract.
Is ChatBot Worth It?
ChatBot is a mature product with a clear focus on support and sales, and it combines the customer-facing AI agent with an inbox, ticketing and copilot tools for human staff. The Shopify connection and proactive campaigns make it especially relevant for online shops, and the 14-day trial without a card lowers the risk of trying it.
The main caveat is how usage is metered. The Essential plan includes just 10 AI resolutions a month, which is only enough for testing, and extra packs cost $49.50 per 50 resolutions. Per-user pricing also adds up as your team grows. The Growth plan, with 200 resolutions, is the more realistic starting point for a busy site. If you mainly need a cheap website bot that answers many questions, compare message-based tools before deciding; if you want AI and human chat in one place, ChatBot is worth a trial.
