Tidio
Tidio combines the Lyro AI agent with live chat, ticketing and a multichannel inbox so online stores and small businesses can automate routine support and turn chats into sales.

What is Tidio?
Tidio is a customer service platform built around Lyro, its AI agent, combined with a help desk for human support. Lyro answers customer questions using your FAQs, website content and store data, recommends products, and passes complex cases to your team. Alongside it, Tidio provides live chat, ticketing and a unified inbox for email, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger.
Tidio is used mostly by online stores and small to mid-sized businesses, with deep integrations for Shopify and WooCommerce. Lyro can also be bought on its own and added to other help desks such as Zendesk or Salesforce.
Key Features of Tidio
Lyro AI Agent
Lyro answers repetitive questions about shipping, returns, order status and products using verified store data and your knowledge sources. You can adjust its communication style, set guidance rules and define when it should hand over to a human.
AI product recommendations
With a paid Lyro quota, the agent can suggest products directly in the chat with product cards, and Tidio attributes resulting purchases to the conversation.
Lyro Actions
Actions let Lyro carry out tasks such as looking up order details through connected systems. The first Action is free, with more available on paid AI plans.
Sales Flows
A visual no-code builder triggers proactive conversations based on behaviour, such as exit intent, cart activity or browsing a category, to capture leads and nudge purchases.
Help Desk and Copilot
Human agents work from one inbox across channels, with macros, assignment rules and an AI reply assistant that helps draft responses faster.
Tidio Pricing
Tidio prices its help desk by billable conversations (chats where a human agent replies), with Lyro AI conversations and Flows visitors sold as separate allowances. The figures below are the annual-billing rates shown on the pricing page, where yearly payment gives two months free. A 7-day free trial is available, and the Free plan has no time limit.
A pricing calculator on the official page lets you combine conversation, AI and Flows volumes to see a total. Removing Tidio branding is a paid add-on on lower plans.

Who Should Use Tidio?
- Shopify and WooCommerce stores that get many order and product questions.
- Small support teams that want AI to handle routine queries around the clock.
- Businesses wanting live chat, email and social messages in one inbox.
- Companies already on another help desk that want to add an AI agent.
Is Tidio Worth It?
Tidio is one of the more accessible ways for small and mid-sized businesses to add an AI agent to customer service. The free plan is useful for testing, Lyro is easy to train on existing content, and the e-commerce integrations let it answer real order questions instead of generic FAQs.
The pricing model takes some care. Human conversations, Lyro conversations and Flows visitors are metered separately, so costs grow with volume, and the free Lyro allowance is a one-time 50 conversations rather than monthly. Product recommendations and full Actions require a paid AI quota, and the larger plans move into custom pricing. If you run an online store and want AI to take routine questions off your team, Tidio is worth trying. Use the calculator on the official Tidio pricing page to estimate your costs.
