Tiledesk
Tiledesk is an open-source, no-code platform for building AI agents and chatbots with knowledge bases, automations and live-agent handover across web, WhatsApp, email and voice.

What is Tiledesk?
Tiledesk is an open-source, no-code platform for building AI agents and chatbots that work alongside human support staff. It describes itself as an agentic AI operating system: you design conversations visually, connect your knowledge base and business systems, and publish agents on the web, WhatsApp, voice and other channels, with live agents able to step in when needed.
Tiledesk serves customer support teams, e-commerce stores, universities and enterprises that want automation with humans in the loop. Because the core is open source, organisations can self-host or use a private cloud, which suits teams with strict data requirements.
Key Features of Tiledesk
Visual conversation designer
A no-code builder lets you map out conversation flows, conditions and actions, connect APIs and create multi-step logic without writing code.
Knowledge-based AI agents
You can connect documents, websites and other data sources so agents answer from your own content. A self-learning feature extracts useful information from past conversations to keep the knowledge base current.
Automation endpoints
Beyond chat, Tiledesk can expose AI workflows as API endpoints for batch tasks such as data analysis, content generation or email processing, with support for prompt chains and MCP tools.
AI email ticketing
Tiledesk can read incoming emails, understand intent, build a knowledge base from historical threads and send tailored replies or create tickets automatically.
Multichannel and live chat
Agents can run on web chat, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, SMS and voice, with a team inbox, canned responses, smart assignment and mobile apps for human agents.
Appointment booking and e-commerce
Calendar integrations let agents check availability and book meetings, and a Shopify connection allows product carousels and cart building inside conversations.
Tiledesk Pricing
Tiledesk offers a 14-day free trial of all features with no credit card. Prices are in euros, and yearly billing gives two months free. Open-source and non-profit projects can apply for free access through a form on the pricing page.
If a plan's conversation limit is reached the chatbot stops responding, and if the AI token limit is reached only AI features are disabled, so heavy users should plan their tier carefully. WhatsApp template messages may carry extra Meta fees.
Prices checked on October 27, 2026; check the official pricing page for current plans.
Who Should Use Tiledesk?
- Support teams that want AI agents with human handover on several channels.
- Organisations that need self-hosting or private cloud deployment.
- Agencies and software vendors wanting a white-label AI agent platform.
- Teams automating email ticketing and appointment booking.
Is Tiledesk Worth It?
Tiledesk is a flexible choice for businesses that want an AI agent platform without being locked into a closed system. The open-source core, self-hosting option, MCP and API support, and white-label programme give technical teams more control than most chatbot builders.
The downsides are cost and complexity for small users. There is no free cloud plan after the trial, the entry Pro plan starts at €124 per month on yearly billing, and hard limits on conversations and tokens mean service can pause if you exceed them. The breadth of features also takes time to learn. For mid-sized teams and organisations with data-control needs, Tiledesk is worth evaluating. See the official Tiledesk pricing page for current plans.
